Sound, made to bloom

Audio Bloom is a self-contained audiovisual instrument. A 3D printed microphone housing with built-in sensors picks up sound, from voice or an instrument, and translates it in real time into blooming, flower-like visuals generated in TouchDesigner. The goal was accessibility: no elaborate setup, no team of collaborators, no technical expertise required. Open a file, play a sound, and watch it bloom.
